Infinity Dreams Award (2nd Round!)

Alright, so I just got nominated for the Infinity Dream “award” again; this time by my blogging friend and awesome teen writer, writefury. Thank you! So here we go, again….

And the rules are…

-Thank the person who nominated you.

-Answer their 11 questions

-Nominate 11 other bloggers and ask them 11 questions.

Now for the questions:

What’s something that makes you smile whenever it comes to mind?

Theology and apologetics. It sounds a bit strange, but whenever I hear those two topics brought up, I start grinning. (Probably because this typically precedes me having a really interesting conversation, not matter what position the other person takes.)

Also any time C. S. Lewis is mentioned.

You can order the weather for your birthday. What would you make it be?

Oh. I would “order” rain in the sunshine. It happens a few times a year where I live, but the sun will be bright and shining and rain will be falling at the same time. It is so beautiful.

What fictional villain makes you the most mad?

Makes me mad? So I had to think about this one, and I played around with the idea of several (Saruman: how can he destroy the Shire?! and Falstaff (Shakespeare’s Henry IV part 1 and 2, but he really isn’t a villain.) But I definitely have my answer: Shift, the ape from The Last Battle. Ugh, I absolutely abhor Shift; he is completely infuriating.

What’s the funniest joke you’ve ever heard? Tell us!

Oh boy. I don’t really do jokes very well, so here are two (clean) comedic videos that I find really funny… does this count?

You have to pay attention, but it is really funny if you pay attention to who is saying what.

My favorite bit is where North Korea comes in!

They also have a really funny video called “Shakespearean Therapy,” but I thought that three videos would be too many videos to put in one post.

Favorite ice cream flavor?

Salted caramel, but I also love chocolate mint.

What kind of photos make you say “Wow”?

Probably the really beautiful ones of waterfalls and the ocean.

Which fictional characters’ deaths do you mourn the most?

As much as I hate to say it, I actually mourn the characters that I kill off the most. It seems silly, but I get so much more attached to characters when I am writing them. As for other fictional characters, it would be Sydney Carton (A Tale of Two Cities), Turin (The Children of Hurin), and Boromir (The Lord of the Rings.)

What’s something you’ve never tried, but would like to?

I have never done any type of martial art, but I have always want to learn– especially spada kendo.

Something funny you said or did as a kid?

Well, the other day, I discovered my journal from when I was eight. There was one entry which read something like this: “Dad said he was going on a walk, but now is making popcorn. Ellie (my little sister) is crying because she lost her pants. I need to take a shower.” I am not entirely sure what was going on (especially with my little sister– how does one lose their pants?), but apparently, it was life changing enough to write down in a journal. I wonder if I ever did take that shower….

What books got you started on reading?

The Narnia books. My parents started reading those to me before I could even remember, and The Magician’s Nephew was the first true book that I ever read. C. S. Lewis is still my favorite author.

Do you like cold weather or hot weather better?

Cold. You can always warm up, and waking up in the cold air with warm blankets all around is the best.

Okay, now, I am nominating some of my awesome followers: Tricia Mingerink, Kendraeardnek, PurpleDragon57Adriana Gabrielle, and Abigail Post. As I get these “awards” and tags, I am going to go through my follower list and nominate you guys! Some of you, I see almost daily on my blog and others I really want to get to know better! If you choose to do this (there is no obligation), please link back to this post, so I can read your answers to the questions!

And here are my questions:

  1. Who is your favorite villain (either the one whom most love to hate or the one whom you actually cheer for)?
  2. Do you have a favorite food, and what is it?
  3. So if you had to choose one element (fire, water, air, or earth), which one would you choose and why?
  4. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live?
  5. Who is your favorite supporting character (movies, TV, or books)?
  6. What is one interesting or weird quirk about you?
  7. What is your favorite topic to learn about?
  8. I think all of you write, so who is your favorite character that you have created?
  9. If you could bring one person from the past to the present, whom would you bring?
  10. You can jump into any one fictional world. Which one would you choose?
  11. What is your favorite drink?

Alright. I will “see” you guys Thursday!

God bless,

Gabrielle

  1. Ah, theology and apologetics. If only my grandparents approved of reformed theology… Then I could say my two favorite words without an All-out free-for-all debate. :/

  2. Great answers and questions, Gabrielle! I see I’m not the only one who finds it strange these are called “awards”. Tags make a lot more sense. 😉
Loved that “Founding Fathers Fraternity” thing. XD Hysterical.

    1. Yes! I suppose the idea is to “award” your friends or blogs that you like, but they are really tags.
Isn’t it? All the little history details (Benedict Arnold was a famous traitor, Aaron Burr killed Alexander Hamilton in a duel, etc.) make me so happy!
